Neon Signs vs LED Signs

Why Neon Signs are Still the Best
The easiest and one of the cheapest ways to advertise your business is through banners and posters. It's free of rent (unless it's a billboard) and it's most relatively heavy on coverage. However, if you're simply announcing something, there are a lot of ways to "post the bill" or to advertise using a flat piece of announcement. And even though it will let you save for a while, it still doesn't top neon signs in the "most effective" arena. Not even close.
Tarpaulin Material This is made of printed plastic which is thick enough to resist the challenges of weather. This is your best option if you're posting somewhere with no form of protection from weather (yes, from the scorching sun to the killer rains). Another advantage of this option is that it's easily amenable to different designs. Just pass a .jpg or .gif image to its printer and it will print what you have exactly the way it appeared on your computer monitor. Today tarpaulin costs could range from $1 to 5$ per square foot. Not bad eh?
Banners (Paint-on) This is a cheaper alternative to tarpaulin. This is typically used for posters and announcements which involve only words and no pictures. This doesn't usually leave room for much creativity. Its material is usually a cheap cloth. The print-on or paint-on banners will work for you if you're announcing something that's short-lived and something which you're not very willing to spend for.
Paper! This is the simplest form of "bill" which you can post to advertise. This is your best option if you are announcing something short-lived but you want it to be very viral. With the presence (and extended capabilities!) of computers and copy machines, this is the cheapest way to go. The disadvantages of paper include vulnerability to semi-extreme weather and because it looks cheap and anybody could do it, it might get ignored still. So that's it for your three options. However, unlike neon signs, this could easily get stolen, and get superimposed by another announcement.
Neon signs are still cheap, after all. Just maximize its power in exposure and eye-catching and you've got yourself the attention your business deserves.
